Second Cup Barista

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and crafting delicious coffee beverages. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and showcase your passion for coffee.

Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and more
- Take customer orders and accurately enter them into the POS system
- Operate coffee brewing equipment and maintain cleanliness and functionality
- Ensure the quality and consistency of each beverage by following established recipes and techniques
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee bar, seating area, and restrooms
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register with accuracy
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience for customers

Experience:
- Previous experience in the food service industry or as a Barista is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and specialty coffee beverages is a plus
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods
- Proficiency in operating POS systems for order entry and cash handling
- Basic math skills for calculating prices, making change, and tracking inventory
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
