Security Guard

As Bar Security / Bouncer at Turkey Point Hotel Bar & Grill, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure and orderly environment within our establishment. You will be responsible for enforcing venue policies, ensuring the safety of guests and staff, and handling any situations that may arise during operating hours. The ideal candidate will have previous security experience, strong communication skills, and a firm but fair approach to conflict resolution.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized access and maintain crowd control.
• Check IDs and verify the age of patrons to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.
• Enforce venue policies and rules regarding conduct, dress code, and prohibited items.
• Patrol the premises to identify and address any potential security risks or disturbances.
• Respond promptly to any incidents or disputes, using verbal de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Coordinate with management, bartenders, and other staff members to address security concerns and maintain communication throughout the shift.
• Complete incident reports and documentation as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals in high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to alcohol service and crowd management.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and perform security duties for extended periods.
• Security License
• Certification in first aid, or CPR is a plus
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 24 per week
