JOB TITLE : Security Program Manager (SPM)
REPORTS TO : Branch Manager
MISSION STATEMENT:
This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and all aspects of Paladin business within that portfolio in Northern BC Branch.
This includes not only being a tiered point of client contact, but also managing the security team that works within the portfolio. The Security Programs Manager will regularly be meeting with Client Service Manager and security staff to ensure that everyone's needs are met.
Salary Range : $45,000 to $65,000 based on combination of experience and education.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the clients in your portfolio.
• Understand client needs to identify and resolve challenges, make recommendations to ensure security needs are met, and be the main point of contact for the client.
• Manage security teams within your portfolio through regular check ins, conducting performance evaluations, delivering coaching sessions, and issuing disciplinary as needed.
• Work with the People and Culture department to ensure your sites are properly staffed. This includes ensuring all shifts are filled, and hiring new employees as needed.
• Ensure that all staff have proper training so they are able to deliver quality security services.
• Write and update post orders for new and existing sites.
• Monitor incident reports and take action as necessary.
• Ensure all sites are compliant with health and safety standards and procedures.
• Regularly communicate with the Branch Manager to ensure all issues are dealt with in a timely matter
• Remain on-call to act as an after-hours resource for emergencies.
• Develop and promote Paladin's business in a professional and positive manner.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Have a minimum of two years' experience in a managerial capacity.
• Have prior security experience is an asset, a valid BC security license or willing to attain one, able to work flexible hours, and are committed to learning more about the security industry.
• Remain on call to act as an after hours resource for emergencies but also be flexible to handle your given portfolio.
• Proven ability to lead, plan, organize, delegate and problem solve.
• Strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
• Ability to function in a highly dynamic environment.
• Have a Class 5 Driver's License and a vehicle that will be used for work purposes.
• Proficiency in computer usage. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite and WinTeam.

Education Requirements (Any)
Previous managerial/supervisory experience
Certificate Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or related) field
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources Management considered an asset

Valid BC Security Licence
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
