Commissionaires NB&PEI Division is looking to hire a mature and responsible team member for the position of Security Supervisor for a team of Commissionaires at Plaster Rock Lumber.
Hours: Full-time, 8-hour Day shift, Monday to Friday
Benefits: Health, Vision, and Dental Benefits, Life Insurance and AD&D plans
Rate of pay: $18.45/hour
The Role: The Security Officer is responsible for the overall management of Commissionaires working at a busy industrial site. They enforce established rules and regulations to ensure the protection of people, property, and information in accordance with the Post Orders.
Assigned duties include oversight on access control to the site.
The ideal candidate:
- Approachable with good deportment; experience working with the public
- Ability to problem solve and defuse conflict situations
- Strong report writing skills and the ability to articulate self in a professional manner with Client, staff, and the general public
- Supervisors experience an asset
- Strong computer skills
- Physical Skills – sitting and/or standing for long periods of time; ability to physically respond to emergency situations quickly and confidently, to perform rounds as needed, to climb stairs and to lift deliveries as required
- Valid NB Driver’s License
- Maintains high levels of confidentiality
- Demonstrates sound judgement in addressing potentially conflict situations
- Ability to communicate in both official languages is a highly sought qualification
