The Self-Awareness Recreation and Entertainment (SHARE) Coordinator will, under the general direction of the Clinical Manager, drawing on their own skills and experience, provide advocacy and support services to a person living with Mental Health problems and will participate in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs and services for individuals, families and the community.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Grade 12 Education
  • Lived-Experience as a Mental Health programs consumer
  • Knowledge of local community resources in order to facilitate access to social, recreational, clinical and transportation services
  • Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation and relevant sections of legislation (i.e. Mental Health Act, Human Rights Code, Landlord and Tenant Act, etc.) an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Valid Class G Driver’s License
  • Experience in planning and facilitating groups
  • Embodies the LEAN ideology by actively and continually seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standards of the Hospital
  • Bilingualism preferred (French/English)
