Senior Analyst, FP&A
Based in Vancouver, the Senior Analyst, FP&A will report to Senior Manager, FP&A. The Senior Analyst will deliver the FP&A team's mandate and priorities with excellence. Be a strategic and trusted analytical resource to the FP&A Team, CFO, and other senior leaders. Become a trusted business partner to the IT, Enterprise Data & Analytics, and Corporate Real Estate departments.
As a Senior Analyst, FP&A You Will:
  • Preparing Data Analytics and automation are big priorities for the company; evolve the analytics journey, drive process evolution and efficiencies to get to insights faster and easier
  • Produce management reporting and analysis, driving key insights, recommendations, and actionable next steps.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze operational and performance data from various internal and external sources. Ensure consistency and accuracy across all analysis and reporting.
  • Key participant in the annual budget process and monthly/quarterly forecasts. Analysis of performance versus plan, understanding drivers of differences vs. prior budgets/forecasts, understanding performance against current strategy, and what next steps should be considered.
  • Create and manage complex financial models to support forecasts and facilitate decision making.
  • Develop and update presentations for both internal and external audiences. Effectively communicate financial concepts in an easy-to-understand manner to all stakeholders.
  • Support the development and financial review of business cases for investment and corporate projects.
  • Participate in process enhancements and efficiencies as well as support best-in-class system implementation.
Your Background:
  • University degree with major in business, finance, mathematics, accounting, or economics. Holding or is working toward a MBA, CFA, CPA or other relevant professional designation is considered an asset.
  • Experienced Analyst with minimum of 3+ years of related work experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or Real Estate. Business partner experience and fluency in C-suite level deliverables are considered huge assets.
  • Strong financial modelling experience, familiar with "what if" scenario mapping and financial analysis
  • Displays strong aptitude and knowledge of working with technology in a finance environment. Highly beneficial if you have prior experiences with ERP, CPM, and systems such as Yardi, and Anaplan.
  • Good working knowledge of accounting/finance principles (GAAP/IFRS) and operational finance
  • Experience developing financial models in Excel and PowerBI to represent complex business scenarios.
  • Results-oriented, agile, analytical and collaborative.
  • Keen interest in real estate investing, driving results for our valued pension clients, and the financial markets.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $82,000 to $95,000.
The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual's skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.
