Senior Analyst Treasury Accounting

As a Senior Analyst in National Bank’s Treasury and Investments Accounting team, you’ll act as an expert in hedge accounting. You’ll use your expertise in financial accounting and financial modelling, your experience in the finance sector and your knowledge of accounting and quantitative finance to make a positive impact on our clients’ experience and the profitability of the Treasury sector.

Your role

• Produce financial information carried on the balance sheet and in the results, in accordance with IFRS accounting standards, for Treasury Accounting, including hedging 
• Produce notes to the financial statements and various reports related to hedging activities
• Perform various analysis on results and review daily and monthly reports
• Produce documentation and accounting for hedging transactions
• Monitor hedge accounting financial models and participate in the implementation of new strategies and the implementation of new financial models
• Monitor and control accounting, tax and financial operations for treasury
• Participate in the development, implementation and control of systems, tools, quantitative models and work processes, and make recommendations
• Support various Bank sectors and ensure joint projects in hedge accounting

Within the Financial Markets Accounting sector, you’ll be part of a team of seven employees reporting to the Senior Manager. Basic requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience OR master's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience
• CPA or CFA designation held or in the process of being obtained
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Ability to offer quick and efficient customer service
• Autonomy and initiative
