Senior Business Development ExecutiveFederal Unit

To gain understanding of the unique and changing factors that drive purchasing decisions, the team develops connections at all levels of a client’s business. They use their insight to identify and create new opportunities – and to build the Business Development strategies that underpin successful sales. As well as maximizing revenue, they take responsibility for accurate forecasts.

What you’ll achieve
As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for building strong executive and political customer relationships in the field and ensuring an outstanding customer experience with existing and potential customers within the Federal government.This role will focus on the long-term, strategic positioning and acquisition of federal pursuits within Shared Services Canada, all civilian departments and crown corporations.


You will:

  • Operate in and understand the political ecosystem and with policy advisers and ministers to position Dell for citizen outcomes.

  • Assist in gaining share of spend across Dell Technologies portfolio of technology solutions: Client, server, storage, networking, software, security and led services

  • Support acquisition of new strategic programs, contract vehicles, and task orders in the federal business space

  • Develop pipeline and shape strategic opportunities around customer programs

  • Collaborate and work effectively with all strategic business units and with the Core sales teams

Essential Requirements

  • 8 to 12 years of experience supporting Federal Programs (solution selling or prior government tenure) in the Federal space

  • Currently hold, or have held (thus quickly renew) Secret clearance with the Federal government. Must be a Canadian citizen

  • Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions tackle business problems

  • Strong communication, collaboration and executive presentation skills, and the ability to provide insight and thought leadership to senior management

  • Knowledge of federal program decision making and funding processes


Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA)

  • Senior Executive Leadership experience and relationships in the Federal market.
