Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

Location: Canada (Remote)

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

As a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer with one of of client's, your key deliverables will encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide support for BI solutions and stabilize platforms such as SAP BO, SAS, SSIS, MicroStrategy, Informatica, etc.
• Actively participate in software design meetings to analyze user needs and determine technical requirements.
• Design and develop high-quality code to meet project objectives.
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, analysis, and resolution of application problems/issues, collaborating closely with stakeholders for timely resolutions.
• Follow the software development lifecycle process to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to support product releases and/or resolve program-related challenges.
• Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and versatility.

Required Experience:

• Possess 5+ years of BI and Azure data platform software development experience, including design and development.
• Experience with SAP BO, SAS, SSIS, MicroStrategy, Informatica.
• Proficiency in OOP development, Azure Synapse, Databricks, with preference for Scala experience.
• Strong SQL development skills.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to independently provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Strong technical, analytical, and development skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of required programming languages.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
