Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand data requirements and automate reporting processes and deliverables.

·       Collaborate with corporate data teams to develop and maintain reporting logic using code in our corporate data platform (Databricks).

·       Visualize curated datasets in tools such as PowerBI or Spotfire, moving away from Excel-based reporting.

·       Create both standardized reports and flexible ad-hoc reporting options to meet diverse analytical needs.

·       Ensure the deliverables comply with the company reporting standards and can easily be presented in various formats (PDF, PPT, etc.).

·       Train others to independently manage and maintain reporting solutions, fostering skill development for sustainable future use.

·       Engage in continual improvement of financial and operational data analysis, exploring innovative tools and methods for advanced reporting.

Requirements and Qualifications: 

·       Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Economics

·       Minimum 8 years of experience in data science, analytics, with a focus on automation

·       Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Databricks

·       Experience working with Git and related tools (Gitlab, Github)

·       Programming experience in SQL and R or Python

·       Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle large data sets, calculate KPIs, and produce actionable insights

·       Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Spotfire

·       Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to empower non-expert users.

·       Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
