As the Senior Geospatial Analyst, you will develop and provide geospatial services and products to multiple clients. Primary duties include:

  • Provide geospatial consulting, analysis and advice through understanding business needs and processes.

  • Use geospatial technology and best practices to provide effective and efficient client solutions.

  • Develop data management processes, create data models to house the information, perform data translation and transformation, and apply quality control measures on geospatial data.

  • Provide knowledge of desktop and web based mobile platform solutions.

  • Offer support and training to staff and clients using geospatial technologies, geographic information science and data management practices.

  • Research and adopt geospatial technologies to develop solutions.

  • Proficient in requirements gathering, project documentation and in conducting facilitated sessions with diverse work groups.

 
Qualifications
 
  • A completed 2 year diploma in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology, Geomatics Engineering Technology, Applied GIS, Geography, or a related field plus a minimum of 8 years related experience; OR

  • A degree in GIS, Geography, Planning, or a related field plus a minimum of 5 years related experience.

  • Advanced proficiency with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, SQL, Python, Java, .NET andor other programming languages, understanding of Imagery products and skills in Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) is an asset.

  • Experience configuring workflows and out of the box tools in ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Portal.

  • Experience producing detailed specifications for GIS solution delivery, including writing up test cases and coordinating testing with other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and end users is an asset.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and relationship building skills.

  • Experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and sharing data with attention to detail and accuracy.

Location: 800 Macleod Trail S.E.
Compensation: Pay Grade 11 $42.09 - 56.27 per hour per hour
Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day
work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
