We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior IT Finance Analyst to join our Information Technology team in Langley, BC.
Reporting to the Director IT, With the goal of maximizing IT financial outcomes, the SeniorIT Finance Analyst is responsible for managing the financial aspects of IT, including budgeting, financial planning, reporting/analytics, and spend management/governance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and analysis, with a keen interest in understanding complex processes and data. They will contribute positively to a collaborative working environment with a proactive focus on driving continuous improvement using an inquisitive and forward-thinking mindset. The role requires extensive collaboration with both the IT Leadership and Finance teams, with adherence to Finance processes and deliverables.
You will be responsible for:
  • Leading the annual budget process for IT and supporting IT Leadership in companywide budget and spend discussions.
  • Developing multi-year, long-term financial plans aligned with financial and business objectives.
  • Ensuring IT financial objectives are measured and tracked as part of the monthly/quarterly reporting process. Analyze and report on budget variances, identifying abnormalities or trends that may exist.
  • Building on spend management/governance processes, advise on cost management policies and enforce governance within IT, while ensuring methodologies align with Finance team standards.
  • Driving cost optimization efforts across IT by understanding, forecasting, and proactively identifying opportunities to control or influence current/future IT costs. Identify and gather large datasets to analyze and find trends, patterns, and metrics to support optimization efforts.
  • Partnering with IT Procurement to audit vendor spend, contracts, assets, and effective license management.
  • Overseeing the tracking, trending, and reporting of technology KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for IT Leadership and executive consumption. Proactively aid in the identification of candidate KPIs that align with current strategy. Facilitate dashboard and self-serve reporting.
  • Partnering with Finance and Enterprise Planning to quantify benefits from technology initiatives as part of post-implementation reviews.
  • Building cross-functional relationships in support of communication and collaboration between IT and Finance teams.
  • Assisting with special projects and ad hoc analysis as required.
You have:
  • 5 - 7 years financial analysis, accounting, or auditing experience.
  • Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in a technology environment considered an asset.
  • Attained a senior level towards completion of CPA designation, MBA Finance, or newly qualified CPA/CGA/CMA considered an asset.
  • Experience with Power BI is considered an asset.
  • Relational database knowledge and query development are considered an asset.

  • Able to self-manage responsibilities, with a high level of ownership and accountability.

  • An engaging relationship builder, who enjoys working in a collaborative, team-based environment.

This position is based at the Pattison Food Group office in Langley, B.C. While we're currently operating with a hybrid work-from-home and in-office schedule, we look forward to the day when we are all able to work together in the office again.

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
