Summary of the Program:
The Indigenous Employment Program is designed to connect Indigenous job seekers with prospective employers in high demand sectors of our clean economy. To do so, it combines direct training and job placement, wage subsidy supports, community-based education and engagement, and networking opportunities through job fairs and targeted relationship building. As we help to build Nova Scotia's clean economy, we recognize our responsibility to ensure that everyone has access to the growing number of education and employment opportunities.
Summary of the Position:
Reporting to the Manager, Energy and Equity Initiatives, the Senior Lead - Indigenous Employment Program will play a essential role in coordinating activities across all subprojects in this suite of employment initiatives. Leading an interdisciplinary team, the Senior Lead will work collaboratively across program teams to ensure the ongoing success of workforce development, education, community engagement, and energy training initiatives. The Senior Lead will be responsible for gathering information on project success across the organization, crafting quarterly and annual reports, and communicating effectively with internal and external project partners. This position will be responsible for tracking financial information, evaluating project progress against established key performance indicators, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
