Your Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Manager, National Assurance & Accounting Standards to join our National Assurance & Accounting Standards team. This individual can work remotely from any of our Canadian offices.
As the Senior Manager, National Assurance & Accounting Standards you will develop training and practice tools in order to guide staff across our local offices, ensuring efficient and standard compliant engagements.
You will be apart of a dynamic and innovative team, and will assist in the following areas:

• Provide guidance and perform research to assist individuals in our local offices on accounting, assurance, and related services matters.
• Provide consultation and assistance to audit teams on complex matters.
• Develop accounting, assurance, and related services publications, manuals, and other practice tools for both internal and external distribution.
• Strive for efficiency in reviewing forms and policies, ensuring that standards and quality are met on a national level.
• Develop firm policies relating to accounting, assurance, and related services engagements.
• Design and deliver effective accounting, assurance, and related services training programs for partners and staff, including live instructor-led training, web-based training, and virtual instructor-led training.

Your experience and education

• You hold a CPA, CA designation or its equivalent (e.g., CPA, CGA / CPA, CMA).
• You have 5-7 years of post-designation experience in accounting and assurance standards.
• You possess expert knowledge in Canadian Financial Reporting Frameworks, assurance standards, PCAOB standards, and Canadian Securities Regulations. Knowledge of U.S. Securities Regulations would be an asset.
• You are skilled in developing and delivering training and presentations, including material creation.
• You demonstrate exceptional time management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• You have a solid understanding of various standards, policies, and procedures related to accounting and auditing, including risk management, independence, tax, etc.

Pay Range: $91,000 - $153,000
