Cannara Biotech has the largest indoor growing facility in Canada. These modern and safe facilities are located in Farnham and Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. Cannara Biotech produces and processes high-quality cannabis in an indoor space, to ensure the best product for Quebec and Canadian consumers.

Cannara Biotech Inc. is currently looking for a Senior Packaging & Inventory Directorto join a dynamic team.

GENERAL SUMMARY 

Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Director of Packaging and Inventory will ensure the effective management of packaging, inventory, warehouse and vault.  This person will be responsible for maintaining and improving all operational activities of the departments.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Establishes overall objectives, systems, procedures and policies and develops plans and actions necessary to achieve departmental objectives;
  • Collaborate with the various departments to establish a packaging and inventory plan for the various products;
  • Ensure proper execution, follow-up and problem solving for the packing and inventory plan;
  • Ensure that the budget is respected and that the use of equipment, labour and operational expenses are within established limits;
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency in equipment, planning and personnel and apply improvements effectively;
  • Monitor and maintain efficiency and performance throughout the packaging process so that deadlines are met and barriers are identified and removed;
  • Oversee the development and performance management of all departmental employees and ensure that the functions, responsibilities, authority and accountability of all are defined and understood;
  • Develop and maintain the highest standards of operations to ensure compliance with the company’s established quality standards;
  • Implement and develop the process for using barcodes in the vault;
  • Ensure the maintenance of a culture, within its functions, that is consistent and in line with the company’s values;
  • Foster and drive high employee engagement, across all functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or equivalent experience;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a management position;
  • Ability to use an ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365, an asset);
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Power BI for the creation of dashboards on the packaging level;
  • Be autonomous, responsible, honest and demonstrate open-mindedness;
  • Strong time management skills and work ethic;
  • Ability to prioritize and address a variety of issues simultaneously;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills;
  • Bilingualism is essential, both oral and written;
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

WORKING CONDITIONS
