Adecco is currently seeking a Senior Process Engineer - Control Systems for a 1-year contract in Mississauga, ON, with a competitive hourly rate of $64-$67. Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and support automated equipment and software systems for medical device manufacturing.
Provide technical support for new and sustaining initiatives in automation and equipment design.
Ensure technical outcomes meet established engineering principles and customer/company requirements.
Conduct training sessions for engineers, technologists, and production staff on effective equipment operation.
Control project planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
Interface with equipment vendors and contractors to troubleshoot and resolve startup issues.
Prioritize project work and track progress towards completion, ensuring adherence to timelines.
Collaborate closely with mechanical design and drafting team for automation and controls solutions.
Support Process Engineering and other departments in troubleshooting and upgrading Control Systems.
Assist in new product introduction process, providing engineering support and optimal automation solutions.
Create testing solutions integrating hardware, software, and mechanical components.
Adhere to Quality Management System requirements and demonstrate Boston Scientific values.
Conduct and maintain process risk assessment activities, including PFMEA’s, and develop control plans to mitigate risks.
Develop Validation Plans, protocols, and process controls.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and report unsafe working conditions.
Fulfill any other duties as required by the role.
Requirements:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent field.
Possess 7-10 years of engineering or related work experience.
Demonstrate solid understanding and hands-on design experience in automation and controls engineering.
Proficient in PLCs, Allen Bradley suite of products (Logix5000, Studio 5000, Factory Talk View) desired.
Experienced in programming and integration within a manufacturing environment.
Skilled in selecting electro-mechanical components (servo motors, sensors, pneumatics, heaters) and motion control.
Familiarity with electrical schematic design (AutoCAD Electrical) and mechanical design software (SolidWorks) preferred.
Exposure to Vision systems would be advantageous.
Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Demonstrated ability to positively impact business outcomes through implementation of effective changes.
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
