Job Description Summary
Our Quality Lifecycle Management team bridges the pipeline between research and development, ensuring the integrity of our commercialized products continues to meet Health Canada and FDA standards. In this role, you will be responsible for managing STEMCELL's Quality Management System (QMS), and leveraging your experience and critical thinking ability to navigate undefined novel technologies, outlining risks and best practices moving forward. You are no stranger to cGMP or high risk medical device regulations and standards, and have experience participating in audits to assess risk and compliance alongside our internal and external partners. While we grow our Product Lifecycle Management team, we are excited to grow your career with potential learning and travel opportunities, and have the ability to expand your knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI).
This is a 12-month fixed term position, with an ability to convert to permanent, full-time employment.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Managing the day-to-day operations involved in manufacturing and quality testing of cell banks
  • Working in a cross-functional team for our antibody manufacturing program responsible for media adaptations, single cell cloning, cell banking, cell performance, and characterization testing
  • Supervising programs that manage the storage, planning and scheduling of shipments, understanding the utmost importance to ensure the stability of the cell banks
  • Mentoring and training junior members, ensuring Standard of Procedures (SoPs) and Work Instructions (WI) are created, updated, and accurate
  • Lead QC technology transfer and NPI activities
Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelors of Science in the life sciences field with at least 8 years of industry experience
  • Successfully managed or led a team for a minimum of three years in a laboratory environment
  • Mammalian cell culture experience with hybridomas or Chinese Hamster Ovarian (CHO) cells
  • Experience working with quality management systems (QMS) ISO 13485, 21 CFR 210, 211 and 820
  • Expressed proteins tech transfers experience in mammalian cells would be an asset

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:
$78,640.00 - $118,000.00
STEMCELL determines an individual's pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
