Job Description
As the Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for effective planning, executing, and tracking functional tests for IAM Program. Reporting to Sr. Manager QE, your objective is to ensure the QE processes are well defined, executed and continually monitored. Working with different project teams to ensure Functional test suite is up to date and remains relevant. You will be accountable for driving quality and champion defect prevention/early defect detection and maximizing test coverage.
What will you do?
- Work with different disciplines within the project team to gain an understanding of business requirements, design and create test plan, test cases, participate in all aspects of testing.
- Creation of test case scenarios, test case writing and perform FST, UAT, Failover, Accessibility Testing, as required.
- Provide support to the QE lead with tasks and ad hoc requests as required.
- Responsible for designing effective test cases using Automated based approach and test design techniques.
- Leverage the existing automation frameworks, tools, and artefacts to ensure testing process is continuous, comprehensive, and fully autonomous.
- Hands-on experience in Java, SQL, Selenium, code review, automation.
- Actively work with Application Development team as one unified team to integrate Quality Engineering mindset/concepts within the DevOps framework/pipeline.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- Proven years of Quality Engineering experience in manual testing techniques with emphasis on developing test automation.
- Good experience, knowledge and exposure with QE Processes, Methodologies and Test Design techniques
- In depth knowledge on QE processes like Test case management, defect management, requirement analysis, testing types and methodologies with hands on experience on ALM, JIRA, QTest and Confluence.
- Experience with creating Test Plan, Test Execution results etc. and walkthrough with different teams.
- Knowledge of industry practices with focus on Agile, Business process understanding , DevOps, environments, and test integration.
- Hands-on coding experience in Java, SQL, Selenium, Python or any other programming or scripting language.
- Strong problem solving, design, and analytical skills and out of the box thinking producing creative solutions on testing approach in critical timelines.
- Candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Nice-to-have:
- QE related certification. E.g., ISTQB, Agile testing, Mobile Testing etc.
- Computer Engineering, Computer Science, related (technical) degree/diploma or equivalent experience(e.g., Java, C, SQL DB querying)
- Experience with Identify and Access Management and cyber security concepts. Working experience with tools like Sailpoint, OKTA, CyberArk, Entra ID etc.
- Any experience with tools like AWS, Azure will be an added advantage.
