Senior Quality Insurance Analyst

In a career as a Quality Assurance Analyst in the Insurance sector at National Bank, you will be responsible for testing the various sector applications. You’ll be able to capitalize on your development and test-execution skills and your precision to have a positive impact on our organization.

Your role

• Gather and analyze relevant information on assigned content in order to prepare test plans
• Help develop, implement, and carry out appropriate test plans in accordance with specifications
• Carry out tests
• Monitor testing and diagnose and correct any abnormalities encountered
• Guarantee good test coverage and the quality of the versions delivered
• Optimize quality assurance practices (tools, methods, etc.)
• Identify possible test automation
• Provide support for automated test implementation
• Work closely with other team members, including developers, analysts, product owners, and scrum masters
• Report all abnormalities detected during testing

Your team

You will join a team of 11 colleagues and report to the Manager, Asset Management. Our team stands out for partnership, collaboration, and the fun we have working together. You'll be required to work on both automated (70%) and manual (30%) tests.

Our training programs use on-the-job learning to help you master your role. Personalized training content on several topics is available to promote your ongoing learning. Prerequisites

• College diploma in Computer Science (DEC) or any other related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the field
• Knowledge of programming or Scripting (JavaScript), an asset
• Knowledge of Cucumber, Jenkins, Jira, X-Ray, SOAP UI, Postman, or other software, an asset
• Ability to work on a multidisciplinary team
• Strong ability to summarize information and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid time management skills and the ability to meet production deadlines
• Excellent critical thinking skills and an ability to challenge
• Strong ability to communicate, verbally and in writing
• Initiative and flexibility
• Creative, disciplined, diligent, and good observational skills
• Technical curiosity and a desire to learn
