We are looking for a Senior Risk Control Advisor to join our team in our Montreal office!
As a Senior Risk Control Advisor, you will be responsible to act as trusted counsellor on Risk Control and risk engineering considerations.

Your day as a Senior Risk Control Advisor
- Conduct site surveys at client's facilities (property, general and product liability, fleet).
- Produce risk reports (underwriting report for insurance market, risk assessments, recommendation reports etc.).
- Produce loss estimates calculations (PML, MFL, NLE, etc.).
- Support brokers in placement process by providing information on risk exposures and insurer subjectivities.
- Advice clients on risk exposures and control measures.
- Develop and support Risk Control programs for large clients.
- Analyze and prioritize insurer recommendations.
- Support research and development practice on any technical issues and considerations.
- Support building valuation practice.
Our ideal candidate
- Bachelor or college degree in engineering or fire protection / prevention, or applied science diploma.
- Property Risk Control experience with a broker, an insurance carrier or internally for a large organization.
- Experience in site inspections, Risk Control and/or fire protection.
- Knowledge in fire protection systems, NFPA codes, FM datasheets and equivalent
- Knowledge in building construction and related codes, and building mechanics.
- Good understanding of workplace Health & Safety.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with brokers and insurers.
- Problem solver to help clients with risk challenges.
- Bilingual - fluent in French and English.
