Job description

We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex Salesforce-based solutions to support the organization's business processes. This role requires deep expertise in Salesforce development, customization, and integration, as well as the ability to lead and mentor a team of developers. You will be a key player in leveraging Salesforce to drive business success, and you are expected to have advanced skills and the ability to guide and mentor junior team members.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Salesforce Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality Salesforce solutions, including custom applications, configurations, and enhancements.
  • Customization: Customize Salesforce applications to meet specific business requirements, including creating custom objects, fields, workflows, and validation rules.
  • Integration: Integrate Salesforce with other systems and applications, both on premises and cloud-based, using technologies like REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Data Management: Manage data import, export, and migration tasks, ensuring data quality and integrity within Salesforce.
  • Security and Access Control: Implement and maintain robust security and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Code Optimization: Write efficient, well-structured, and maintainable Apex code, Visualforce pages, and Lightning components to maximize system performance.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and provide solutions to address user problems and system errors.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all Salesforce customizations, processes, and integrations.
  • Best Practices: Stay up to date with Salesforce best practices and new features and recommend their implementation to improve system efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior Salesforce developers, provide technical guidance, and foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans, perform code reviews, and ensure the quality and reliability of Salesforce solutions.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II, are highly desirable.
  • 10+ years of proven experience as a Senior Salesforce Developer with a track record of successful project implementations in a similar-sized company.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce development tools, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and SOQL.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and security model.
  • Experience with Salesforce integration techniques and technologies.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, SOX).
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside of Quebec or unilingual English-speaking on a daily basis.
