Rothesay Netherwood School (1877) is an independent, co-educational boarding and day school for Grades 6 to 12 that offers innovative, world-class learning experiences in a safe and caring school community. RNS is seeking a teacher who is passionate about mathematics and can teach students in our Senior School. Additional capacity to teach sciences at the Senior School level may be an asset. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to inspire young people to seek growth and challenge through mathematics.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Teach five (5) courses;
- Coach or supervise a co-curricular activity in two of three terms;
- Be a member of a residence duty team;
- Be an advisor to a group of students;
- Contribute broadly to the life of the school.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Education
- Qualification to teach math at the secondary level
- A track record of excellence as a teacher, ideally in an independent school setting.
- A skill set that includes strong organization and execution abilities
- Positive attitude and flexible approach with students, families and colleagues
- A demonstrable commitment to professional growth
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate program is an asset but not essential
