OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing client s security monitoring capabilities, managing their Splunk environments, and developing and training roles related to Splunk usage within the organization.

WHAT YOU LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance security monitoring capabilities.
  • Utilize industry best practices and innovative techniques to identify and mitigate security threats.
  • Provide security architecture guidance and assessment.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of existing security monitoring systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Splunk environments.
  • Ensure the integrity, availability, and performance of Splunk infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Splunk with other security tools and systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and procedures related to Splunk usage.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior analysts and other team members on the use of Splunk and related tools.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop customized solutions using Splunk.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely resolution of security incidents.

WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Splunk certifications) preferred.
  • 8+years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on security monitoring and incident response.
  • Extensive experience managing Splunk environments, including knowledge of Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, and Splunk Enterprise Security.
  • Solid understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies, including network security, endpoint security, and encryption.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets and identify security threats.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
