Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the power project engineering procurement and construction (EPC) partner, utility and offtake stakeholders.
  • Supervise and guide staff and subcontractors.
  • Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Lead the quality review process of power analytical and operational products developed by the EPC and other subcontractors.
  • Interface regularly with the power engineering, development and financial team to align plans and workflows with development schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and legal, to ensure successful project development.
  • Manage the permitting process, environmental assessments, and community engagement activities.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure projects adhere to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, energy, finance, or related field.  
  • Minimum of 5 years of project development experience in the solar industry. 
  • Understanding of key quantitative business concepts, including both probabilistic thinking and financial metrics (NPV, IRR, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian solar and energy industry, specifically pricing, process for offtake, permitting and interconnection.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
