Job Summary
Responsible for the sourcing, negotiation, and selection of the supply base for Compass & Foodbuy Member Development customers. 
Now, if you were to come on board as one of our Senior Sourcing Managers, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
-Optimize commercial value in the supplier/business unit relationship
-Develop sourcing strategy and planning for assigned projects by working with business units to ensure that suppliers align with business units needs and category business plans
-Select vendors that can best meet all supply chain and business needs requirements delivering the greatest return on investment
-Manage and administer the 7-step sourcing process for assigned categories, including evaluation and selection of suppliers, as well as negotiation to ensure the lowest net price to achieve business profitability and to meet service needs. 
-Define best sourcing procurement process e.g., Traditional RFQ/RFP/RFI, online Auction, Collaborative sourcing, multi-even negotiations, etc. 
-Research and analyze industries related to the sourcing initiatives
-Develop improvements and best practices for procurement processes, such as compliance, specifications controls, collaboration sourcing etc. in order to create efficiencies and maximize benefits. 
-Manage and administer the master contract management system for all spends within scope, including RFP development, identification of preferred supplier pool, supplier performance management, negotiation, execution of contracts and transitioning projects back to category team upon completion. 
-Develop sourcing calendar for upcoming fiscal year with anticipated financial targets (related to creating project plans).  
-Ensures projects are upheld to business standards prior to implementation.  Areas addressed include, but not limited to, product cuttings, quality, technical, regulatory, and legal compliance, finance reporting, marketing, and consumer acceptance, manufacturing, and supply chain deployment. 
-Collaborate with US Sourcing and Category Development teams on sourcing projects throughout the year.

-Post-secondary education diploma or degree in purchasing or related studies.
-5 years of purchasing/procurement/supply change management experience in the meat industry (vendor, retail or food service experience).
-PMAC (Purchasing Management Association of Canada) certification would be an asset.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines efficiently.
-Strong written and presentation skills.  
-Expert analytical abilities and negotiating skills. 
-Establish working relationship with customer business managers, committed customers to be able to gain traction on sourcing projects related to our Members.  
-Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Database management Formal Strategic and Negotiation Skills Training.
-Foodservice background highly desirable.
