We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to support our business growth in Toronto. The Senior UI/UX Designer will be reporting to the Director of Marketing. The Sr UI/UX Designer will plan, develop, and implement innovative design solutions to different projects across different product lines. Working closely with the product owner to define the brand requirements and customer needs into experiences that the developers can execute on, the Sr UI/UX Designer defines the UI/UX strategy for complex products from the earliest stages ensuring the user experience align with customer expectations and follow style guide and look-and-feel conventions. This is a full time permanent position.

How you will contribute:

• Plan, develop, and implement creative solutions addressing design demands across complex and innovative UI/UX projects to achieve business goals and objectives
• Optimize existing user interface designs
• Create iterative prototypes, storyboards and concepts (low and high fidelity visual designs) for immersive web and mobile experiences that can be used by people intuitively on a daily basis
• Collaborate with project teams, and internal and external partners to define brand concepts, customer journeys and design systems that have multiple applications across a diverse range of platforms
• Lead the exploration of innovative design and research methodologies, conduct ongoing user research, competitive scans, service blueprints, future state journey maps
• As it relates to UI experiences, help design and build user testing sessions to identify friction points, present results with recommendations to stakeholders
• Ideate with product and design teams to approach customer challenges in innovative ways and challenge the status quo and help establish engagement strategy and growth vision
• Design end-to-end, integrated omni-channel experiences based on a deep understanding of client behaviours, business strategy and operating models.
• Partner closely with colleagues across business strategy, UX, product development and technology to support discovery activities and co-create future state experiences to inform delivery road map.
• Proactively stay updated on design methodologies, trends and techniques to develop new best practices.

What you bring to the table:

• Successful completion of a UI/UX degree - or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
• 5 to 7+ years demonstrated experience in delivering successful User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Programs/Products for both B2B and B2C
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UI/UX projects and design process.
• Deep knowledge of and experience with user-centered design, design thinking, and human factor methods
• Expertise in analyzing and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to form a holistic understanding of a problem space, usability best practices and guidelines to derive actionable insights for design improvements and achieve business goals
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in planning, conducting, and analyzing usability testing sessions using industry-standard user testing tools and platforms
• Experience identifying short-term and long-term goals and actively promoting change initiatives
• Finely tuned empathy and conceptual thinking to enable high emotional resonance with human-centered methodology
• Strong visual communicator with the ability to produce artifacts, design systems, storyboards, system maps and prototypes
• Proficiency in Figma, prototyping, user testing software & other software such as Sketch, Confluence, Jira, Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS
• Project management skills, including work planning, monitoring and evaluation expertise, to manage multiple projects with competing priorities, tight deadlines and navigate the challenges of a dynamic work environment
• Interpersonal and oral/written/presentation skills to brief/update senior/executive leadership, prepare project/program-related reports and materials, deliver presentations and provide subject matter expertise to staff, internal and external stakeholders
• Background in financial services is strongly preferred

This is not a hybrid or remote position. The successful candidate will be working at our Leslie Street Head Office, Mon to Fri 900am to 530pm.
