Senior Well Abandonment Specialist

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Senior Well Abandonment Specialist to work for our reputable client in the oil and gas industry in Calgary, AB. In this role you will be responsible for preparing detailed abandonment procedures and cost estimates including documented well histories. You will also be responsible for remediation procedures for SCVF and GM repair.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed abandonment procedures and cost estimates.

• Document well histories for abandonment projects.

• Develop remediation procedures for SCVF and GM repair.

• Ensure compliance with abandonment regulations in western Canada jurisdictions.

• Utilize advanced technical proficiency in areas such as Cementing Design and Execution, Perforating, Log Selection and Interpretation, Interventions, and Workovers.

• Utilize software tools such as Wellview and Accumap.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Adhere to project timelines and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications:

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

• Minimum of ten years of experience in Well Abandonment, with a focus on regulatory compliance.

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) designation preferred.

• Proficiency in Cementing Design and Execution, Perforating, Log Selection and Interpretation, Interventions, and Workovers.

• Competency with Wellview and Accumap software.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
