The Role:

The shipper/receiver ships, receives and records the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from warehouse/store.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• For non-hardware, assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
• Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
• Verify incoming goods against packing slip or other documents and follow Company procedures and documentation regarding shortages and/or damaged goods
• Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
• Follow shipping and/or receiving instructions
• May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
• Contributes to continuous improvement by suggesting and/or implementing improvements to safety, costs, reduction in frustrations, and others.

Job Required Skills/Abilities:

• Detail oriented
• Demonstrated time management skills and including multi-tasking.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Works independently with limited supervision, interacting effectively with other departments.
• Interacts with various levels of staff

Job Education and Experience:

• Secondary school vocational diploma, high school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years relevant experience
• Valid credentials
• Ability to retrieve and enter data using a computer system.
• Use of production databases.
• Manual dexterity.
