Shipper / Receiver (Auto Parts)

Our Alexandria, ON location is currently recruiting for a Shipper / Receiver. Shipper / Receivers are responsible for the processing of incoming deliveries in addition to preparing our products for shipment. As Shipper / Receivers interact directly with our suppliers and customers they are expected to represent the Company with exceptional customer service at all times.

Wage rate based on experience.

As a member of our team the Shipper / Receiver will unpack and sort deliveries, enter stock into our computer system, and will also:

• Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents
• Record any/all shortages in received goods
• Inspect and verify all incoming product matches our order invoices (and other applicable documents)
• Perform spot-check quality control of received product (rejecting damaged goods)
• Pack product for shipping
• Receive payments for goods delivered and handle payments for goods received
• Other duties as required

We are looking for a candidate that has excellent customer service skills, is self-motivated, passionate, in addition to:

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated computer skills
• Aptitude in basic writing and mathematics
• Confidence and aptitude to work unsupervised and independently (within a structured environment)
• Previous shipping / receiving experience (an asset)
• Excellent organizational skills
• Experience working in a team-based environment
• Superior time-management skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories (an asset)
• Knowledge of tools and equipment (an asset)
