Shipper/ Receiver Clerk

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards for people’s safety, food safety, quality, cost control, waste reduction and complete and on-time delivery.
• Promotes and follows all company and regulatory standards, including but not limited to; Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Food Safety, Safe Operating Procedures (SOP's), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
• Adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety PPE at all times.
• Perform daily safety checks on all applicable equipment and tools.
• Report all safety concerns to a member of your Joint Health and Safety Committee and your Supervisor/Manager
• Ensures all orders are shipped accurately and timely to meet scheduled delivery times.
• Ensures all orders are stable, properly labeled and shrink-wrapped in addition to any other customer requirements to prevent damage during transit.
• Provides prompt and courteous customer service to all customers (both internal and external) and carriers.
• Operates warehouse material handling equipment in a safe manner, as needed.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
• Reports observations of any deviation to the process/procedure or a defect or non-conformance.
• Works in a professional and cooperative manner with all departments.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of related warehousing experience
• Excellent customer service skill
• Good verbal and written English language skill
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Basic computer skills with ability to learn WMS system and use scanners/software in daily job functions as required
• Detail oriented and ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
• Good mathematical skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Working Conditions:

• Permanent Full-time position (40 hours per week)
• Works in the warehouse, including cooler environment and outdoor conditions depending upon tasks as required
• Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required to meet business needs
• Wearing of company provided Uniform and other Personal Protective Equipment is required as applicable.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
