Shipping Coordinator

The role of Shipping Coordinator works directly with production staff from various departments to coordinate and prepare products for delivery to our customers. This person is responsible for finalizing the shipping features in our MIS and preparing all related documentation as required by the shipping companies.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage and organize the shipment of all products, materials and supplies as required
• Communicate and collaborate with shipping companies to ensure prompt delivery
• Package products to prepare for safe shipping to customers
• Complete shipping functions inside of MIS
• Arrange the pickup of all shipments
• Maintain accurate records and data pertaining to daily shipments
• Follow and uphold company policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and neat working area
• Build and maintain a professional relationship with vendors and drivers
• Provide backup for hand bindery when available

Minimum job requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Professional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to organize, multitask and interpret priorities
• Ability to contribute and work within a team environment
• Ability to effectively manage a high volume of work in a highly active and time-sensitive environment
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly, 50 lbs intermittently
• High proficiency in written and spoken English
• Aptitude to learn and adapt to new technology and software applications
• Current forklift certification is considered a strong asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
