Job Description:

We are seeking a Full Time Shop Technician for our Cambridge branch.
Based out of our Cambridge location, you will learn the basics of Fire Extinguisher service from our experienced team. As you learn, progression into HP Testing and other opportunities will be available, including field service supporting our existing Route Technicians.

Responsibilities:

• Testing and Service of Hand portable fire extinguishers.
• Kitchen fire suppression system cylinder test and service.
• High pressure fire suppression system cylinder test and service.
• Fire hose test and service.
• Maintain and troubleshoot various shop related equipment.
• Test and service of various other fire and security equipment.
• Obtain Transport Canada certification / Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification.
• Assist Field technicians.
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• A valid motor vehicle license is required (Class G) with annual abstract to maintain eligibility.
• Ability to transport equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Driver's License.
