About the Role

The successful candidate will play a highly visible and important role in the delivery of an amazing guest experience by enabling easy and enjoyable travel to the Hullo terminal. There will be rotating shifts to manage a full day of exciting operations. Reporting to the Manager - Terminal Operations, our Shuttle Bus Driver will establish welcoming communication with guests, manage their expectations, and collaborate with all vessel and mariner teams to provide a memorable and seamless experience.

Responsibilities

- Champion the customer-centric and friendliness approach to our services and experience
- Responsible for the safe driving of passengers from our Nanaimo pickup locations to the Hullo terminal
- Ensuring the Shuttle Bus remains clean and conducts routine safety checks
- Welcome guests with joyfulness and enthusiasm, providing them a memorable experience
- In addition to Shuttle Busy duty, manage ticket sales, check-in procedures, and answer inquiries in a professional manner
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, and follow the company's safety policies and procedures to keep customers and staff safe at all times
- Keep the terminal and front desk area clean and organized, ensuring that all equipment is in working order
- Provide high level guest service and engagement at all times, handling complaints and feedback with professionalism and empathy
- Be adaptable and flexible to take on any additional tasks as required

What We’re Looking For

- Valid class 4 unrestricted license
- Previous experience as a Shuttle Bus Driver or similar vehicle (25 passengers or less)
- Physically able and willing to assist passengers who require assistance
- Experience providing high-level customer service and engagement at all times, handling customer complaints and feedback with professionalism and empathy
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic above all else and are looking for candidates who are eager to learn and grow
- Ability to meet the demands of shift work that includes rotations that could occur over weekends and evenings
- A strong attention to detail and comfortable using technology
- Ability to be on your feet and moving around for an extended period of time
- Ability to take a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 75 pounds with assistance)
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to think quickly and creatively to resolve issues that arise during customer interactions or daily operations

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
