Northplex Ltd. is a modular home company that builds and sells solid homes in Western Canada. Our stylish modular homes are built in a 165,000 square foot climate-controlled facility in Barrhead, Alberta.

Job Summary

Northplex Ltd. is currently seeking a Full Time Siding Installer located in Barrhead, AB. This position is accountable for the installation of the exterior prefabricated siding for the Northplex modular homes.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications for proper installation
• Measure and cut all chosen siding pieces with accuracy
• Apply and install siding pieces using hand tools and power tools
• Work within the larger team to create a safe, clean, and efficient workplace
• Follows procedures accurately and carefully to ensure work is completed to the highest standards possible
• Responsible for the use and care/maintenance of company tools, and equipment
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications and Skills

• Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Siding experience is an asset
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
• Attention to detail
• Perform duties in an organized and productive manner in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment and processes
• A willingness and ability to perform different tasks on a repetitive basis in a structured environment
• Knowledge and use of basic hand and power tools
• Proven ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety procedures
