Amico has recently positioned itself for further growth into the future and as a result, is adding a Site Superintendent to the team at our office in Dieppe, NB.
Position: Site Superintendent
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of the project master schedule.
- Create and manage 3 week lookahead schedules to ensure project stays on track.
- Review drawings and identify any possible issues, send RFIs when required.
- Supervise, lead and coordinate all construction activities to ensure that the work is completed on time and on budget.
- Ensure all work completed is in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Perform quantity take offs and order materials as needed.
- Complete daily reports highlighting job status, site condition and head counts.
- Hold weekly sub-contractor coordination meetings.
- Promptly inform the Project Coordinator and Project Manager of any anticipated delays or changes in the scope of work.
- Perform site inspections to ensure quality control.
- Attend bi-weekly sub-contractor project manager meetings.
- Track progress and fill out weekly progress reports
- Maintain as-built drawings on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site to ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced.
- Co-own safety and security with safety coordinator for all workers and sub-contractors.
- Collect safety paperwork from all trades on a weekly basis.
- Perform site orientations for all trades on site.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Valid drivers licence.
