Site Supervisor/Foreman/Woman

Gary Parker Excavating Limited is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor/Foreman/Woman with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to provide full on-site supervision of GPE employees and subtrades.

General Requirements

• Planning daily manpower requirements
• Providing instruction/feedback
• Coordinating work site activities
• Evaluating hourly workers’ performance/productivity
• Ordering site materials
• Providing quality control and inspections
• Record daily site activities
• Establishing and meeting daily/weekly productivity targets

Skills

• Communication(verbal/written)
• Task and people coordination
• Planning and organization
• Problem solving and decision making
• Working with tools and technology
• Checking, examining and recording

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Trade school graduation an asset

Safety Requirements

• Must complete WHMIS, Confined Space, Emergency First Aid/CPR-A, AED
• Must have reliable transportation and steel toed boots.
• Criminal record checks will be mandatory

Working Conditions

• Working in inclement weather
• Working in trenches
• Heavy lifting required
• Working at heights
• Some potential environmentally sensitive work areas (dust, chemicals etc.)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $21.00 per hour
