Job Description

This is a full-time role for a Shop Laborer. The laborer will be responsible for performing manual labor tasks associated with ACM panel assembly, metal trim forming, and sub-girt framing in our new Dieppe, NB location. Day-to-day tasks associated with this role include operating CNC equipment and various power hand tools, performing inventory counts and maintenance tasks, loading and unloading materials, transportation of materials, and shop clean-up. The laborer will work under the direction of the Shop Supervisor and will be expected to follow all safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a manual labor role within a fabrication shop environment.
• Ability to operate and maintain various equipment and tools (rivet gun, drill, jig saw, skill saw).
• Experience with CNC equipment is considered an asset, training will be provided.
• Forklift certification is considered an asset.
• Experience with interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• A willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
• Experience in a construction-related field is considered an asset.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
