SKILLED LABOURER (ASPHALT) – Full-Time Seasonal

Responsibilities:

- To work as part of a team under supervision of the crew foreman &/or superintendent,

- Rake asphalt, properly construct asphalt joints,

- Direct placement of asphalt for patching & paving operations,

- Fill hollows and remove high spots to smooth freshly placed asphalt,

- Set-up & operate asphalt screed to place asphalt to grade and depth specifications,

- General maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications:

- Valid Class 5 NS driver’s license,

- Ability to work with minimal supervision,

- Experience in formwork & grade-work would be considered an asset,

- Must be willing to travel within Northern and Eastern Nova Scotia.
