Who You Are

Fancii is seeking a talented and creative Social Media Growth Strategist to join our team. As a Social Media Growth Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective Social Media strategies to increase brand awareness, engage with our target audience, and drive traffic to our website. If you have a passion for digital marketing and a knack for creating engaging content, we want to hear from you!

Based at our Edmonton headquarters, the SMS will report directly to the marketing director. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities pivotal to our marketing and growth.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Platform Expertise: Deep understanding of the algorithms, features, trends, and best practices specific to TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.
  • Content Strategy: Develop and execute content strategies tailored to each platform, considering the preferences and behaviors of the respective audiences.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with content creators to produce engaging and creative content optimized for each platform, including videos, posts, stories, and pins.
  • Trend Identification: Stay updated with the latest trends, challenges, and viral content on TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram to capitalize on opportunities for increased engagement and visibility.
  • Audience Engagement: Implement tactics to foster meaningful interactions with followers, such as responding to comments, initiating conversations, and leveraging interactive features like polls, Q&A sessions, and live streams.
  • Hashtag Strategy: Develop effective hashtag strategies to improve content discoverability and reach on each platform, taking into account platform-specific hashtag usage trends.
  • Community Building: Cultivate strong and loyal communities of followers on each platform by consistently delivering valuable and entertaining content, fostering a sense of belonging, and encouraging user-generated content.
  • Influencer Partnerships: Identify and collaborate with relevant influencers and creators on TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram to expand reach, increase brand awareness, and drive engagement.
  • Analytics and Optimization: Regularly monitor and analyze performance metrics on each platform, such as views, likes, shares, comments, and follower growth, to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
  • Cross-Promotion: Strategically cross-promote content between TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram to increase visibility and engagement across multiple platforms.
  • Stay Updated with Platform Changes: Keep abreast of algorithm updates, policy changes, and new features introduced by TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Competitor Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark performance, identify opportunities, and stay ahead of industry trends and benchmarks across all platforms.
  • Risk Management: Monitor for potential issues such as negative feedback, brand reputation concerns, or content policy violations across all platforms, and develop strategies to address and mitigate them proactively.
  • Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate with other team members or departments to align Social Media efforts with broader business objectives, and provide regular reports on key performance indicators and campaign results for all platforms.

Qualifications

- Proven work experience as a Social Media Strategist or similar role

- In-depth knowledge of Social Media platforms, algorithms, and best practices

- Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts and SEO principles

- Proficient in using Social Media management tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite)

- Experience with Adobe Illustrator or other graphic design software is a plus

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
