Positions Available: 1 
Intake Date: Monday, May 6, 2024
Application Deadline: Monday, March 4, 2024 (we will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis)
Minimum Qualifications: Must currently be enrolled in a recognized and accredited Canadian post-secondary institution throughout the duration of the co-op term. You must also be returning to a post-secondary institution after the co-op term is completed. Depending on the needs and location of the team, you will need to work PST or MDT or relocate to a specific office (Vancouver or site-based) 
The Teck Corporate Social Performance team is responsible for Social Performance governance, Indigenous Relations, Human Rights, and Community Investment. Reporting to the Manager, Social Performance, the Social Performance Co-op supports the implementation of broader Social Performance strategic priorities with a focus on the delivery of training programs, climate change engagement, and internal and external reporting. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our dynamic team!
Responsibilities

-Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
-Support the delivery of global Social Performance practitioner training programs
-Support the development of tools to guide and track engagement on climate change adaptation, as it relates to Teck Communities of Interest and Teck initiatives such as Nature Positive and Community Investment.
-Work with the Lead, Social Performance on the delivery of monthly Social Performance Community of Practice, a forum for Teck’s global Social Performance practitioners
-Collect site Social Performance data using Teck platforms for internal and external reporting and assurance
-Collaborate with Teck Social Performance specialists in areas of human rights, Indigenous relations, and community investment on diverse initiatives
-Conduct research on industry and global developments in Social Performance as needed
Qualifications
-Currently enrolled in a relevant post-secondary program such as social science, international development, sustainability, economic development, public policy, or similar.

-Knowledge of climate change issues and adaptation planning is an asset.
-Experience working directly or indirectly with Indigenous communities and/or organizations is an asset.
-Spanish language skills is an asset.
-Strong written and verbal skills.
-Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
-Data analysis and report writing skills
-Proven understanding of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint).

Wage Range: $3,900 - $4,900 / Month
Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co-op experiences completed.
