About the role

Do you enjoy working with different technologies such as Oracle, Informatica and cloud tools (IICS, Snowflake, AWS) and in a collaborative environment? Do you like to contribute to adding value to company data? This is a great opportunity for you! We are looking for a Software Developer Specialist who will integrate data from the company’s diverse data source into our Enterprise Data Platform and make them available.

Your mission:

• Collaborate with the team and the other IT departments to analyze, develop, test, and deploy solutions to maintain or integrate new business areas to our data warehouse and Snowflake migration.

• Understand business requirements, translate them into technical requirements.

• Design and develop Data ingestion & consumption pipelines.

• Take leadership in defining the Software Engineering best practices regarding the code standardization, branching strategy, pipeline code optimization, cost optimization, design patterns, etc.

• Collaborate with Solution and Enterprise Architects to address unique business problems, provide project estimates and design complex data transformations solutions, utilizing appropriate tools and technologies.

• Document implementation steps and produce quality evidence. Create and maintain system documentation.

• Provide technical support to Business Intelligence analysts, testers, and deployment coordinators throughout our development cycle and for production support, typically during regular business hours. 

What you bring to the table:

• A bachelor’s degree in information technology / software engineering or any equivalent combination of training and experience 
• At least 7 years of strong experience with Informatica powercentre, IICS, Snowflake and Oracle databases
• Hands-on experience with  PL/SQL , java and Python programming is a plus
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with data integration (data warehouse).
• Strong knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) techniques and different data ingestion patterns.
• Working experience with Data Vault and Relational Data Models.
• Knowledge of insurance or financial sector will be advantageous. 
• Assets: databricks, SAS Enterprise Guide, GIT, Jenkins, Business Objects and Power BI.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills.
