Description:
Our client in the energy sector is seeking a talented Solution Architect with proven experience working with Work Management Systems (WMS) for a 15-month contract in Regina, SK. Working with the Business Applications Solution & Architecture team, the successful candidate will apply extensive knowledge on products, technologies, services, and methodologies in response to business needs. To be successful in this role, Solution Architect candidates must have deep technical experience with IFS Work Orders, IFS MWO Mobile Application, RESTful API Integration techniques and tools, BizTalk, Oracle Service Bus, and Oracle Custom Care and Billing.
Responsibilities:

-Leading solution evaluation and assuming a technical leadership role as part of the core team on Business Applications projects, acting as the representative for Digital, Technology and Security (DT&S).
-Ensuring solutions are in alignment with enterprise strategies and focused on business outcomes.
-Developing non-functional and technical specifications for solution RFP documents.
-Development of proof of concepts
-Ensuring solutions and services are successfully and sustainably delivered into operations.
-Actively contributing to architecture boards and continued improvement of our practice.
-Overseeing the activities of technical resources to deliver solutions.
-Work with project teams to develop the conceptual architecture design; ensuring it contains appropriate level of guidance (business, information, application, and technical perspective).
-Aiding and mentorship as required.
 
Requirements:

-At minimum a technical lead on two (2) significant/large IT projects, in a Solution Architect role, from start to finish as part of a project team.
-Architecture and/or hands-on experience with the following technologies:

-IFS Work Orders
-IFS MWO Mobile Application
-RESTFul API Integration techniques and tools
-BizTalk
-Oracle Service Bus
-Oracle Custom Care and Billing
-Architecture and/or hands-on experience with the following methodologies:
style="list-style-type:circle"-
-Sparx Enterprise Architect Tool for Modeling and Analysis
-Rational Unified Process (RUP)
-TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
-working knowledge of BABOK
-working knowledge in ADKAR
-Expert level communicator (ability to communicate and present effectively, create effective tailored content).
-Experience working closely with the business to guide them from start to finish through the solutioning process and into final delivery.
-Canadian federal, provincial, municipal government experience or similar work.
-Oil and gas industry experience or similar work.
-Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a combination of education and years of experience or equivalent.
