Solution architecture - Train level

iA Auto and Habitation is embarking on a major digital transformation program. To meet the ambitions of the business sector, the Property & Casualty Insurance Service Delivery DP is looking to fill a position for a Solution Architecture Consultant.

As a Software Solutions Architecture Advisor, you will be responsible for defining and communicating a technical and architectural vision to ensure that solutions under development are aligned with business needs and the directions of the Program Architect and Enterprise Architecture. You will play a key role in aligning teams under a common technical direction, and will work with these teams to develop the solution and its interfaces, validate technological assumptions, evaluate implementation alternatives and ensure delivery. You will work in Lean and Agile mode (SAFe) and provide IT consulting services to your partners to meet their business needs.

More specifically, you will be responsible for :

• Carrying the global solution file, which will serve as the main information vehicle within the architecture process and should facilitate the review of all aspects;
• Follow and promote the organization's orientations in terms of: integration models, application design, processes, tools, standards and other architectural parameters defined by the enterprise architecture;
• Manage IT asset evolutions ("roadmap") under his/her responsibility in close collaboration with the sector Enterprise Architecture Advisor and in line with his/her orientations;
• Work with delivery team stakeholders to ensure that solution specifications and requirements are clearly shared with the solution delivery team, with a constant concern for quality and scalability;
• Identify potential problems between functional or technical requirements and the envisaged architecture, then propose innovative or workaround solutions where appropriate;
• Guarantee the seamless integration of the solution into the affected ecosystems, with a constant concern for the security of digital information;
• Maintain traceability of architecture decisions, ensure technical project documentation, and verify the updating of support information for elements affected by the solutions put forward;
• Provide strong multidisciplinary leadership to management teams, delivery teams, collaborators and external suppliers, including software firms;
• Contribute to the success of projects, in particular as a contributor to meeting deadlines, scope and budget.

Technical profile required:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or any other equivalent training or experience;
• 10 years' experience in information technology, including 5 years' experience in IT Solution architecture and design;
• Experience in delivering "customer facing" solutions in a JAVA development context, highly available, reliable, usable and in high volume;
• Experience of working with the following frameworks and methodologies: SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle), DevOps, delivery pipeline, CI/CD, Clean Architecture, MicroService, Agile and LEAN Experience with integration tools (e.g. Azure DevOps (an asset), Kafka);
• Knowledge of the EIS platform is an asset;
•  Knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem;
• Knowledge of Cloud, Web, mobile, ORM and Container technologies;
• Excellent understanding of design patterns;
