Position Overview:
Wander the Spa, a tranquil Nordic-inspired wellness retreat located in Bloomfield, ON, is seeking a friendly and organized Spa Attendant to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests, the Spa Attendant plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities:
- Guest Services: Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing personalised assistance and ensuring a seamless check-in process. Respond to inquiries, provide information about spa services, and assist guests in selecting treatments and packages that meet their needs and preferences.
- Appointment Scheduling: Manage spa appointment bookings using the spa management software, coordinating schedules for massage therapists and other service providers. Confirm appointments via phone, email, or in-person communication, and follow up with guests to ensure their satisfaction.
- Billing and Payments: Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, including collecting fees for services rendered, processing gift certificates and vouchers, and reconciling cash and credit card transactions. Provide receipts and assist with any billing inquiries or discrepancies.
- Telephone and Email Communication: Handle incoming phone calls and emails in a professional and courteous manner, addressing guest inquiries, making reservations, and providing information about spa services, promotions, and policies.
- Retail Sales: Promote and sell spa retail products, including clothing, bath products, and wellness accessories, showcasing their benefits and assisting guests in making purchasing decisions. Maintain product displays and inventory levels, restocking shelves as needed.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining guest records. Prepare daily reports, reconcile cash drawers, and perform other duties to support smooth spa operations.
- Facility Maintenance: Monitor the cleanliness and organisation of the spa reception area, change rooms, and retail boutique, ensuring a tidy and inviting environment for guests. Notify appropriate staff members of any maintenance or housekeeping issues that need attention.
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally. Gather feedback and suggestions to continually improve the guest experience and exceed expectations.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other spa staff members, including therapists, wellness facilitators, and maintenance personnel, to coordinate guest services and ensure a cohesive and enjoyable spa experience.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all spa policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and standards for guest service, safety, and sanitation. Maintain confidentiality of guest information and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a spa or wellness setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and welcoming demeanour.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and spa management software (experience with Milano, Klickbook, MindBody or similar systems is an asset).
- Knowledge of spa services, treatments, and products (training will be provided).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- CPR and first aid certification (preferred).
