Located just minutes from downtown Montreal, Services aériens LUX inc [LUX Ground Services Inc] is a fast-growing company operating a FBO/Fixed-Base Operation service at St-Hubert Airport (CYHU).LUX also operates a terminal at Quebec City's Jean Lesage International Airport (CYQB).
Our parent company, Chrono Aviation, was founded in Quebec City in 2012. In its early days, the company operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Today, Chrono Aviation has a fleet of 15 aircraft and a team of 280 employees.
Role and context
The Fueling Specialist is in charge of all fuel operations, including order intake, compliance, safety and aircraft fuelling. He is Lux Air Services' main point of contact and reference for all fuel-related issues at Saint-Hubert Airport.
Key responsibilities
•Manage the bunkering team, including drawing up schedules and organising the service to ensure that tasks are carried out efficiently.
•Ensuring that technical and safety procedures are rigorously applied by the entire team.
•Monitoring logistics operations, including the management of petroleum product stocks and their efficient distribution.
•Helping to prepare and conduct airline safety and compliance audits.
•Receiving, storing, transferring and distributing petroleum products in accordance with established procedures.
•Driving motorised refuelling vehicles, including tankers, and refuelling and draining aircraft in accordance with flight plan requirements.
•Inspect refuelling equipment and vehicles regularly, and report any malfunctions or anomalies detected.
•Accurately calculate fuel requirements based on pilot requests and flight specifications.
Key skills
•Ability to lead and manage a team of tankers, including drawing up schedules and organising the service.
•Understanding of logistics operations and ability to manage petroleum product stocks effectively.
•In-depth knowledge of technical and safety procedures, including the ability to carry out audits and ensure compliance with standards.
Specific job requirements
•Minimum of 2 years' experience as a fueller and experience in team management considered an asset.
•Possession of a valid driving licence to drive refuelling vehicles.
•Ability to express oneself and understand French and English, both orally and in writing, in order to interact effectively in a bilingual context.
