Job Summary
The role of Specialist Solution Design is responsible for producing technology solutions aligned with business objectives within a specific field of expertise and associated set of technology capabilities.
In the HR portfolio, the Specialist Solution Design has the responsibility of supporting and enhancing multiple products within the HR Application Portfolio. The team’s goal is maintaining and enhancing the product portfolio while continuing to seek improvements that generate even further value across the organization. Currently, the HR function is looking to undertake a Human Capital Management (HCM) transformation. The HCM Specialist Solution Design will work closely with the business representatives to align system capabilities with business vision. This is a key role in CN’s HCM transformation.
Main Responsibilities
- Analysis of system issues and/or business requirements to design effective and supportable solutions
- Effective communication with all stakeholders, technical and non-technical
- Lead the delivery of a complete solution
- Design, configure and document the complete solution
- Produce functional design specifications
- Develop, document and execute test scripts
- Deploy and stabilize a solution
- Lead knowledge transfer sessions within the support team
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years knowledge and experience with designing SAP ECC 6.0 HCM solutions in Personnel Administration (PA), Org Management (OM), Benefits and Time
- Experience with SuccessFactors or other HCM
- Experience with HCM Security an asset
- Previous designer experience in a support or project role (1 project full cycle)
- Strong analytical skills with an innovation or process improvement focus
- Efficient time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities
- Effective interpersonal communications
