Key Objectives of this Role:
- Create detailed 2D or 3D designs for complex projects using CAD software.
- Collaborate with team members to establish timelines, budgets, and problem-solving strategies.
- Possess knowledge of industry standards, engineering principles, mathematics, and materials.
- Analyze data and situations to develop innovative solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and engineering standards.
- Develops CAD designs (3D & 2D) based on internal and customer input/requirements, and following internal guidelines/best practices.
- Import OEM CAD into Solid works and create product designs accordingly
- Collect information and validate designs by performing test fits and measurements in the field.
- Create detailed product layouts and other documentation necessary for the production floor.
- Managing internal CAD change management, with the ability to understand customer change management systems.
- Works and develops Solidworks PDM
- Create detailed product layouts, NC files and other documentation necessary for production floor
- Provide support to the production team, ensuring programs are correct and delivered in a timely manner.
- Create and markup PDF installation manuals
- Work with customers and customer care as a resource on product questions and quality concerns.
- Support quality initiatives, helping to ensure products conform to the print and customers expectations.
- Maintain good communication with Senior Design Engineer to ensure parts are machined accurately, to the programmers’ specifications while maintaining deadlines.
- Receives direction and guidance from the Senior Design Engineer each week on tasks for the week and ensure completion, communication, and cooperation if tasks should change or modify.
- Maintain good communication with Production Manager to ensure parts are machined accurately and to the programmers’ specifications
- Maintain a legendary attitude in all tasks!

Job Requirements:
- Able to proficiently work with SolidWorks Design Software.
- Excellent organizational and creativity skills, strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrate successful performance with independent problem-solving and presentations.
- Able to follow instructions thoroughly.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience with SolidWorks Design Software and PDM, minimum 2 years.
- Experience in shop drawings and process flows.
- Strong communication skills, excellent ability with English language.
- 2+ years of experience in automotive or related industries.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
