Department OverviewThe Mobile Mortgage Salesforce (MMS) is an exciting and dynamic national sales channel within TD responsible for acquisition of new Mortgage and Home Equity FlexLine business as well as facilitating the sale of Credit Protection. Our National Mortgage Salesforce team delivers new customers to the bank and contributes to the volume, profits and market share of TD's Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) portfolio. In addition, our MMS team is responsible for bringing new banking customers to the TD branch network using secured lending products as the delivery vehicle. They operate on an entirely mobile platform from a home office base, to develop Mortgage and Home Equity FlexLine referrals from realtors, builders, financial planners and other centers of influence. Based on a commitment to discovering and achieving what truly matters to each client, each MMS leverages a distinct discovery process and collaborates closely to take an integrated approach to building a financing strategy that reflects each client's unique needs and delivers the full spectrum of TD products and services.

The MMS and Broker Enablement and Support group is a National team accountable for the development and execution of the MMS and Broker Channel strategies, delivering business performance insights to drive growth and increase productivity as well as the creation and the implementation of policies, processes, and capabilities supporting our MMS and Broker Channels. Working closely with our Builder Partnerships, One TD partners, RESUL, and the Channels leadership team, supporting 1A channel governance, conduct risk, channel engagement programs (R&R, rallies, conferences), and the management of the Mobile Mortgage Specialist Assistants.

The Builder Development team is an exciting and dynamic area within SSF and an opportunity to make a big impact. On our quest to #1 market share, the National Builder Development team strives to support the development of deep and long-lasting relationships between Mobile Mortgage Specialists (MMS) and third-party centres of influence (COI) in the Builder and New Homes Sales space. By offering meaningful advice and the right lending solutions, relationships between COIs and MMS professionals can help our customers achieve their homeownership goals

Job DetailsThe Builder, Regional Sales Manager role is a key sales management position within the SSF that reports to the Senior National Manager, Builder Development. The successful candidate will work with internal and external Regional partners to increase TD's market share and RESL referrals by developing and maintaining quality third party relationships with our Builder & New Homes Sales community. This role is primarily focused on driving awareness of our builder programs and referral programs with the Builder and COI's dedicated relationships while driving referral opportunities over to the Specialized Sales Force Channels.

The Regional Sales Manager uses a disciplined approach to a rigorous and transparent sales management process, which includes planned sales activities, coaching, builder site onboarding and regular ongoing documented summaries and tracking.

  • Proactive and reactive approach to Builders and COI's, by making planned and reoccurring out-bound "coaching" calls to high-value relationships, as well as troubleshooting incoming inquiries as a subject matter expert, for the purpose of achieving agreed upon mortgage referral business results.
  • Lead, coach and develop MMS colleagues to provide exceptional service on Builder sites, including but not limited to pipeline management, advice-giving strategies, customer solutions and sourcing new opportunities.
  • Contribute to TD's real estate secured lending success as a brand ambassador at New Homes Industry related events to build positive relationships with new and existing Builders and New Home Sales Brokerages
  • Deepen high-value Builder and Realtor relationships by establishing reoccurring connections with Builder owners, New Home Sales Brokerages and their respective employees to source new opportunities
  • Understand TD's Real Estate Lending products, policies, and pricing as well as a working knowledge of TD's Builder Capped Rate Mortgage Program, including the competitive landscape.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and share industry competitive insights with the broader Builder Development Team
  • Contribute actively in business transformation by supporting colleagues through meaningful change management activities and communications.
  • Model TD guiding principles to ensure consistency in doing what is best for the customer to help them achieve their needs.
  • Build a culture of empowerment and discovery by sharing knowledge, promoting open dialogue and motivating the team to achieve common goals.
  • Act as the first point of contact for issues raised from Builders and New Home Sales professionals, as well as onsite MMS to ensure optimal resolutions and service management support.
  • Provide industry competitive analysis, including pricing, products and programs to the Senior Manager.

** Travel into Durham, Peterborough and Barrie Areas may be required***

Job Requirements
  • Seasoned professional with an undergraduate degree and at least 5 years of relevant experiences leading teams in distribution channels and people management.
  • Visionary leader with demonstrated experience of effective coaching and relationship building with centers of influence.
  • Strong communication skills, business acumen, ability to influence and effectively communicate change.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a national model and adapt to regional needs.
  • Driven to win with a history of making an impact and delivering superior results in both the short and long term.
  • Strong sales organization
  • Positive attitude, quick start and self-motivator, along with entrepreneurial skills.
  • Experience in working with "B2B" partners.
  • TD Canada Trust product and policy knowledge; RESL subject matter expert.
  • Previous business development and sales management experience is considered an asset.
  • Proven success in a competitive and demanding sales environment including strong sales process organization.
  • Demonstrated ability in achieving business objectives through business planning activities, coaching and skills development.
  • The incumbent needs to have strong impact and influencing skills and understands how to execute in a dynamic environment.
