The Gisborne Group is celebrating our 70 year anniversary and we have full-time permanent job opportunities available for experienced Sprinkler Fitters (Journeyperson and Apprentice) for projects throughout the Lower Mainland.
Job Tasks
- Oversee the safety, quality of work and productivity of the workforce on assigned fire protection projects
- Ensure all corporate safety, quality and productivity policies and procedures related to the project(s) are being implemented and to evaluate the ongoing efficiency of labour in terms of work planning & utilizing crew members effectively
- Mentoring of any apprentice assigned to your project including completing evaluations as directed
- Coordinate with the PM all aspects of project mobilization including material supply, equipment, manpower
- Ensure all materials for the project are available, ordered and stored in a safe and orderly manner. Arrange for pick up / delivery of materials as required
- Attend project meetings as well a final walk through with consultants, fire department and building department as assigned
- Organize demobilization of completed projects
- Assist FP Manager/General Superintendent with discipline, lay off and termination issues
Requirements
- Valid Sprinkler Fitter Journeyperson Certification
- Experience leading a team
- Ability to read & understand blueprints
- Excellent organization and time management
- Ability to complete documentation with detail & accuracy
Pay Rate
- Base Hourly Rate $50.92/hour
- Total Compensation $63.58/hour (see below)
Additional Compensation
- RRSP - 6% of base wage contributed by Gisborne (no match required)
- Pension - 6% (in addition to RRSP) 4% Gisborne/2% match by employee
- Vacation pay - 10.8% of base wage for each hour worked
- Benefits - Extended Health, Dental, Life, AD & D, STD and LTD, EFAP) premiums paid by Gisborne
- Power Tools – provided by Gisborne
- Company vehicle may be provided to a qualifying candidate
