Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Director, CCT Engineering Transformation. This position is responsible for leading various ET related initiatives across multiple roles and teams. The incumbent will track CCT (Contact Center Technology) progress against the larger enterprise goals, ensure alignment, influence priorities and address gaps in process.  The position will be responsible for strategic planning of work on a quarterly and annual basis.

What will you do?

  • Lead small to medium complexity initiatives related to DevOps, SRE and Automation

  • Develop quarterly and annual plans to deliver against RBC’s strategic programs

  • Track and report on progress on a regular basis

  • Partner with various development teams to drive adoption of new technologies

  • Establish new and/or modified processes where needed to support cultural / technology changes.

  • Assess and anticipate how in flight projects will influence our day-to-day work

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

This role provides leadership focused on CCT Engineering Transformation initiatives. Experience in the following core disciplines is highly desired.

  • DevOps

  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

  • Cloud development

  • Software as a Service (SaaS)

  • Vendor Management

  • ITIL

  • DevOps & Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices and familiarity with tools such as IBM Urban Code Deploy, Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible, ELK Stack, Grafana

  • Cloud native development / Software as a Service (SaaS): experience in the capacity (one of) developer, tester, architect to ensure level of understanding is adequate

  • Agile (SCRUM / KANBAN): experience in the capacity (one of) a project lead, scrum master, product owner

  • Strong organizational & decision-making skills.

  • Challenges status quo and responds with innovative solutions

Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITIL) principles

  • Familiarity with contact centers and supporting technologies such as Genesys, SIP, Verint, etc.
